Tuesday
Today another productive street mission was achieved. First spot of the day was a secret gem somewhere unknown. Jamie got his back 360 on.

After a good session at what we'll call the hump we headed over to the water gap in Gateshead, which turned out to be the last spot of the day due to rain. Instead of skating the water gap though, people decided to skate a slightly smaller one a few feet away.
Will with a first try front side 180...

...and a second try heel flip.

Jamie kick flipping about 4 feet past where he needed to.

Still

That's all folks.
Ben.

Team Valley
Sundays session was mostly spent in Team Valley but on the way we stopped at a spot in Bensham with the intention of getting a photo of new Native team rider Dan Main. As you can see below it didn't go too well. CLICK TO ENLARGE.

After ripping his hand up Dan wasn't really up for trying his trick again so we moved onto the Valley. First stop was a gap that nobody really wanted to skate but Jimbo ollied it for sheer blogging purposes.

We then went to some nice long and round flat bars where Jamie was doing a number of tricks including 50-50 transfers.

A ladybug came along and joined in the session.

James Coyle...at one with nature.

The final stop was a 6 stair rail deep in the belly of the Valley. Jamie showed us all what he can do with possibly the worst rail in the North East. It's about 5 feet long and at about a 45 degree angle meaning you are thrown to the ground at high speed. He somehow managed to put down a couple of tricks though.
50-50

5-0

Jimbo with an ollie transfer.

And that was that, another good days skating in the books.

Sunderland.
A few of us took a trip to Sunderland Plaza on Thursday evening. The session started off pretty well...sort of. Basically a group of oldish radgies came over and one of them asked for a go on my board. Before I knew it he was about to run off with it, I instinctively swiped the full bottle of Lambrini that was clasped in his scabby little hands. As soon as I'd done it I thought "was that a good idea?", after all he now had a skateboard to fight with and I had a bottle of cheap wine. To my delight and surprise he then shook my hand and gave me my board back saying; "You've got me there son, your a Bad Boy for life". The group of radgies then moved on but not before calling everyone mugs except me. The whole event left me with a feeling of warmth and happiness, I had managed to get my board back off a potentially dangerous creature without resorting to physical violence or begging.
Here's a couple of sequences of Kurt from the session.
Nollie shuv it.

Nollie bigspin to complete board bursting.

Nollie bigspin on Bish's board.

Bish had one eye out for Raul Moat all day.

A lot more tricks went down but are not getting blogged partly due to the fact they're secret hammers and partly because I was enjoying skating.

May and June on film
I shot a roll of 35mm throughout May and the first half of June, here are the shots I thought were worth reproducing. I had to reproduce them digitally so the quality is not great but CLICK TO ENLARGE anyway. I will re post them once I have had them scanned.
Ghetto Sean laughing at a cat falling out of a tree. Sean hates Cats so he was in a state of hysterics for about 5 minutes.

Jamie Errington performing a bs tail stall at a spot that should be shit but isn't.

James Coyle, BS tail slide from a precarious perch.

Bs tail slide on the big block whilst Dale doesn't watch on.

A peak into the abyss.

Pivot to fakie to needle avoidance.

Joe Hill ollie's a lonely road gap that doesn't see much action.

Smith stall.

Jimmy looks through the eye of a gelatin frog.

Niall sporting the scars of a tussle with a Nollie backside heelflip.

Matty morphing into Johnny Bravo, all he needs is a pair of shades.

Jamie bonking his nose in a crooked fashion.

Until next time. Ben.
