Ride of the Millenium

We got a nice surprise in december when a photo I shot of Coyle popped up in the back of Sidewalk Magazine, neither of us had any idea it was going to be in there. I thought i'd stick it up for those who may not have seen the issue. It features him performing a wall ride on the side of the millenium bridge, it was a re-shoot from the previous night and I ended up loosing a flash as Coyle accidently knocked it from its precarious perch above a huge drop down to the inner workings of the bridge. I may have lost a flash but in the end the re-shoot was worth it. CLCIK TO ENLARGE.

Icy Night at Bridges

James Coyle and Niall McDermott braved the cold last night and hit up 5 bridges where they filmed this little edit. Good on ya lads.

Will Creswick

Today I went on a little evening mission with Will Creswick aka 'The Whiskers kitten'. We found most places to be either too frosty because of the recent cold snap or too busy because of the people that inhabit this city. After some dillying then some dallying we eventually decided on this road gap round the corner from the wasteland where 'The Kitten' managed to stomp a couple of ollies. CLICK TO ENLARGE.

Here's a second angle to show the true size of the gap.

Matty Smith

I promised myself I would make more of an effort to get out and shoot more photos for this here blog so today I met up with Mr. Smith with the intention of doing just that. We had planned to shoot a couple of different things but as usual we didn't actually do either, we still managed to get a couple of shots for your enjoyment though. CLICK TO ENLARGE.

We started at the Jury's Inn car park where Matty did this pole Jam into a 1 metre roll out.

The next spot was the wall ride underneath the Metro bridge which ended up being the last place we shot.
Matty started off with a standard backside wall ride.

He then stepped up with a sick switch frontside wall ride, one of the most difficult maneuvers you could choose to do if you ask me.

Second angle.

It was a short but sweet day and hopefully there will be more like this in the near future.

Winter Hiatus.

Over the past month here at Dog on the Tyne we've been on a bit of a hiatus. This was due to bad weather, lack of motivation because of the bad weather and also because bridges seems to be the only place anyone has skated for weeks and every possible angle there has been exhausted beyond belief. Despite this I decided to finish off a roll of film whilst there over the past few days in order to get the blog ball rolling in 2012. Enjoy and CLICK TO ENLARGE.

I will be doing my best to shoot photos on a more regular basis in the coming weeks and months so there should be more posts coming soon.
